Distance Education at HCAS is defined as a formal education process where the instruction occurs when students and instructors are not in the same place. Our mission is to offer courses that meet the same objectives, content, and rigor as traditionally offered courses, providing an educational environment conducive to learning and catering to historically underserved students.

Hope College of Arts and Sciences (HCAS) offers programs that lead to professional licensure. Any student enrolling in a program at HCAS must be aware of the required credentialing or licensing requirements necessary for employment in the field.

Student Disclosure on Distance Education Courses
Hope College of Arts and Sciences (HCAS) is required to inform students whether it is authorized to enroll students in programs that offer distance education courses or a full distance education program. Hope College of Arts and Sciences is authorized to enroll students in our programs that offer residential, blended, and/or distance education. The distance education approval covers students who ONLY reside in states where the college has determined that the program meets state educational requirements for licensure or certification.
