STUDENT DISCLOSURE ON PROFESSIONAL LICENSURE

Hope College of Arts and Sciences (HCAS) offers programs that lead to professional licensure. Any student enrolling in a program at HCAS must be aware of the required credentialing or licensing requirements necessary for employment in the field.

Students enrolling in the Practical Nursing program are informed of the required credential, LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) for working as an LPN in the field.

Students enrolling in the Associate of Science in Nursing in Nursing Program are informed of the required credential, RN (Registered Nurse) for working as an RN in the field.

Even though the program is post-licensure, students enrolling into the RN to BSN Completion program are informed of the required credential, RN (Registered Nurse) for continuing to work as an RN in the field.

HCAS’s program curricula meet licensure requirements and state educational requirements for professional licensure in the state of Florida. HCAS makes every effort to ensure information about educational requirements for licensure or certification is current. However, state requirements may change.

Students who satisfactorily complete an HCAS program will be presented to the Florida Board of Nursing as meeting program completion requirements necessary for taking the NCLEX examination to become licensed as an RN or LPN in the state of Florida.
